Happy, happy Christmas

"Happy, happy Christmas, that can win us back to the delusions of our childish days; that can recall to the old man the pleasures of his youth; that can transport the sailor and the traveller, thousands of miles away, back to his own fire-side and his quiet home!"

- Charles Dickens, The Pickwick Papers

Well, happy Christmas and Joyeux Noel to all! The season for all things festive and frivolous is upon us, and we can't be the only ones buzzing with the anticipation of upcoming celebrations.

There's no denying London is a very special place in December, from the sparking lights draped over Oxford Street, to the carollers bursting into song on frosty corners, and the scent of mulled wine drifting out through doors of glowing restaurants.

But for a Christmas lunch to remember, make sure to embrace the joie de vivre of French feasting, since Petit Bistro is the only place to dine. Whether you're a guest at Victory House hotel, staying in the city on December 25th, or simply a Londoner who wants to be cooked for, we've got a Christmas menu perfect for you.

We believe on Christmas Day you should be sipping Champagne rather than scrubbing pans; popping a canape into your mouth rather than peeling sprouts over the sink. Forget about the stress of getting timings right or trying to figure out how many roast potatoes are needed for everyone at the table - at Petit Bistro we take that hassle out of your hands so you can thoroughly immerse yourself in Christmas cheer.

We have a trio of different options to suit every budget, and each includes a starter, main and dessert for three courses of festive feasting. To begin, tuck into Lambert & Jackson dark oak smoked salmon with avocado, or perhaps Sweet potato & pumpkin veloute with roasted chestnuts & truffle fromage blanc. A traditional Christmas lunch is of course available for the main event, as we serve up Aubrey Allen cranberry stuffed crown of turkey with roast potatoes, chipolatas, roasted roots, vegetables & cranberry sauce. There's also Seared Cod or Pithivier of wild mushrooms for anyone wanting to mix things up a little. And for dessert, Warm Christmas Pudding, Rum Baba and a fantastic cheese selection served with walnut & raisin bread are the perfect ways to sink into that post-dinner daze.

And for anyone wanting to eke out the celebrations a little more, our £55 and £75 menus also come with a trio of irresistible canapes in the form of Smoked ham croquettes, Mushroom gougere and Crab bon bons - because this is the season for indulgence, after all.

So all that's left to do is take a look at our £45, £55 and £75 menus and see what you'd like to eat on Christmas Day, then rest assured the cooking, crackers and cleaning up will be organised by us!

*Please be aware that the minimum people needed to book is 4, and we need 2 days notice. We also ask for a deposit of 10% per person.

Lights, camera... ACTION!

We flung the doors of Petit Bistro wide open on 9th November and we were finally able to see our vision come to fruition! Opening week saw many a Champagne bottle popped and glass toasted - it was fabulous to see our bistro teeming with life, just how we imagined it to be. Our very first guests were keen to try the dishes we'd been raving about - the golden rotiserrie chicken, the foie gras burger and the Aberdeen Angus steak - and of course, the French classics that inspired the very basis of our cooking. What could give us more satisfaction than seeing a couple chatting over a steaming pan of moules marinieres, tearing of pieces of crusty bread to dip in the sauce? The quintessential image of Parisian bistro dining!

It was a pleasure to welcome loyal fans of Randall & Aubin too, who could enjoy breakfast with us for the first time. Just-baked flakey French pastries from our continental breakfast buffet, Eggs Royale, freshly brewed coffee, pressed juices - just a few of the ways guests started their day at Petit Bistro.

Thank you to all that have welcomed us to Leicester Square - we look forward to seeing some regular faces and becoming part of the buzzing community here in the West End.

A little slice of Paris in the West End

Leicester Square - one of the busiest squares in Europe and the entertainment heart of London. Lights from theatres flashing and fizzing, paparazzi camera bulbs popping to catch the hottest celebrities on the red carpet, and 250,000 visitors a day traversing the flagstones looking for somewhere to appease their appetite! The nature of Leicester Square is changing and we are thrilled to be part of this exciting transition. Petit Bistro is proudly flying the flag for independent restaurants and excellent quality food, and we can't wait to share our menu and the good times with all a quarter of a million of you!
